The Sesame Street Theme Song Is VERY Different When Played In A Minor Key

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

It’s a question we’ve all asked, well… sung. While the song’s lyrics don’t ever actually answer the question asked within, it still leaves us with a warm happy feeling. The optimistic upbeat tune that opens Jim Henson’s immortal educational program is burned into the brains of pretty much everyone who’s ever watched the show (as well as a few torturees, but we don’t talk about that.)

Those kinds of tunes are typically the subject of a landslide of cover versions. CYTMHTGTSS is no different. This week, YouTuber YAOG, posted his version of the song. As you can tell above, it’s quite different from the version you know and love. As part of his “Will it sad?” video series, YAOG plays and sings the classic in a minor key while dark and dreary clips from the show flash on screen. The end result is that suicidal feeling that’s floating around your brain.

My god. I’m so sorry for sharing this with you. I need to go cry now.
